Description: This specially designed prenatal course is safe and gentle for the expecting mother. When a woman becomes pregnant her body begins to produce various hormones responsible for causing her joints to soften. Thus a pregnant woman can be very prone to injury of the weight-bearing joints of the back, pelvis and lower extremities. Using special techniques for the pregnant woman, Pilates will help stabilize areas as well as help strengthen, tone and maintain flexibility. Pilates will also help you strengthen and gain control of muscles used in delivery. After pregnancy, Pilates helps the body quickly get back into shape and helps re-strengthen the areas affected by pregnancy and delivery.
