This 90 minute Workshop will introduce you to The Feldenkrais Method® using Awareness Through Movement® (ATM) as well as the hands on demonstration of Functional Integration®  (FI) which improves functional abilities by increasing your body awareness.  This helps make daily activities such as walking, getting into and out of a chair or a car, lifting, dressing, prolonged sitting at work, or household chores with less effort.  The Feldenkrais Method® also helps improve recreational and competitive sports performance and performing arts technique, reduce muscular tension and stress, decrease pain, and improve balance.Cost:  $10 – Open to EveryoneClick Here to download FlyerFor more information, please contact the studio at 262.695.2262
BIO
Mark Erickson, PT, DSc, OSC, and Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, has been practicing physical therapy for twenty-eight years after graduating from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse in 1983.  He has been integrating the Feldenkrais Method into his practice since 1985 and completed the four year training process in 1994 to be certified by the Feldenkrais Guild as a Feldenkrais Practitioner.  Dr. Erickson has a wide range of clinical experience practicing in environments ranging from athletic training facilities to sports medicine centers, general orthopedic and pain clinics, skilled nursing facilities, general acute care, and private practice.  He currently holds an Associate Clinical Professor Faculty position within the Physical Therapy Program at Carroll University where he serves as the program director, teaches, participates in research.  Dr. Erickson also held an Associate Faculty position in the Physical Therapy program at UW-Madison for 12 years and helped develop and taught within the University of Wisconsin Health/Meriter Hospital Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency, and developed and directed the UW Performing Arts Outreach Program.  Mark also owns and operates a private practice, Insight Physical Therapy, LLC, and practices out of the Movement Center Pewaukee.  He has presented numerous Feldenkrais courses at the national, state, and regional levels emphasizing integrated patient care with an emphasis on improving body awareness to enhance life.
